Satoshi actually pointed out that if bitcoin catches on we can just move the decimal point and still call it bitcoin.

But, I think sats works and there’s no need to change that. It’s a nice gesture to honor him as well.

For all the confusing units of measure out there, "there's this thing called Bitcoin, it uses units called sats" isn't that hard to understand.

Sats are the fundamental bitcoin that can be settled on chain. Anything smaller is custodial. Attempts to shift the decimal place more require a hardfork to increase the number of base units

Hmmm... Are you 100% sure about the hardfork thing? Cause I'm not sure myself.

Sats are slowly becoming my daily default

If milisats becomes a common unit, people will come up with colloquial terms for them. They do with all other currecies. Bitcoiners don't need to do anything.

Yes, that quote from Satoshi said that we could move the decimal at 8 places, which we have already done. So in his view 1 sat would be 1 bitcoin?
