i watch a medium sized eagle fly about all the time here, and they make a very recognisable squawk when they are talking to each other down in the trees nearby

the defining feature of this variety of bird is they don't have a lot of endurance, they surf the thermal air currents and you watch them and they hardly move their bodies ever once they are at a few hundred feet up

i love em tho, it's hilarious watching them do the hover thing as they spy out their prey before they dive at them... truly master air-surfers, don't get me wrong i don't say they are lazy to insult them, they are efficient at coming out of nowhere very fast from a great height and eating small animals
