Steak diet 5 times a week and a daily fast. No breakfast or lunch for many many years.
It wasn’t hungover per se, more like feeling down a bit and off my game.
I’m probably a little older than you and it could be just that but I can now say with certainty I wake up clear and ready to go daily.
So it works for me.
