What is that? In uk there’s a definition for free range which sounds like this. No battery, all chickens in a barn. Then there’s one door where the top rooster stands guard and pecks the shit out of any other that comes close. It’s not necessarily better living conditions. Eggs tough. We need high production but finding correct methods sometimes leads to greater stress for the animals.
Hahaha, I don't know because I'm too far from home. But in my country, egg-laying hens live their entire lives in cages. It is very sad. I would love to increase production in harmony with nature and without being a Neanderthal.
Costa Rica regenerativa did a good video showing people how to increase egg production and improve living standards for chickens. Am curious on ability to truly scale that but yeah, the industrialised growth of food production with just quantity and profit in mind seems to have gone a little too far. Not its good for nutrition
