Wow… nostr:npub17u5dneh8qjp43ecfxr6u5e9sjamsmxyuekrg2nlxrrk6nj9rsyrqywt4tp nailed it regarding analysis of bitcoin address poisoning attacks. This is something hardware wallets could address through UI displaying confirmation of address as either “self” or “non-self.”

AFAIK, no hardware wallets today can tell you during signing the “to” addresses are “yours” or not.

nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8 I think would intrinsically understand this problem…but fixing it will be tricky and can be fixed at transaction creation level too, not just on hardware wallet.

Bitcoin-Safe.org now warns of address poisoning too nostr:nevent1qqsx67vc045el2gx2euap028lu2s4m3ht6h48h37346nyum5l68r4eqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5hsygzp09ey8ww3m9mrnsx0empwvcew69vgua2c0quxhf29v5qmk5llhupsgqqqqqqsajs4qx
