In a nutshell that bi doesn’t exist. They just won’t admit that they are really gay / lesbian yet.

Its essentially the phenomenon where people deny the existence of bisexuality and often assume that a person is straight or gay depending on the gender combination of the partners involved. And that if a bi person has partners of multiple genders in thier past it cant be that they are bisexual, it must be that they just can't decide who they are attracted to.
It can also refer to the lack of bisexual representation in media, where characters are portrayed as gay or straight and thier bisexuality is completely ignored. This however, is more a symptom of the former than an actual definition in itself
