On the 24th of June, we honor Martyr Iuliu Veteranul, a Roman veteran stationed in Durostorum (modern-day Silistra, Bulgaria). Ordered to renounce his faith, Iuliu refused, declaring his unwavering belief in Christ. Despite brutal torture, his faith remained steadfast. He was ultimately beheaded for his devotion. May his sacrifice inspire us to stand firm in our beliefs. O, Martyr Iuliu, intercede for us before God!
