Well that was wild
I just spent 30 minutes in handcuffs with the SWAT team who came to investigate my camping spot
Apparently they got a report and thought I might be a mass murderer they were on the hunt for
Surprisingly nice guys once they realized I wasn't the guy they were looking for
But they didn't have a handcuff key so I had to hang out in cuffs while one of them ran back to town for a key lol

I hope they catch him before bedtime
Yeah I forgot to ask if there's any other evidence he's around here and if I should be worried
I'm armed though and now that I know to be suspicious nobody will be getting the drop on me

Good job doing your job well. A lot of people think handcuffs mean something bad. Theyâre first and foremost an uncertainty reduction tool.
What gets a little scary is verifying identity of those that forcibly take custody of you. While it is a crime to impersonate law enforcement, criminals donât seem to mind committing crimes. AFAICT, thereâs no way to verify identity prior to choosing compliance with authority vs. life saving resistance against a criminal attacker.
