Nostr Web Client

I get that, but could you block Nostr clients for phones and websites that act as clients? You need a client to access the relay network don’t you?

Specific apps could be taken down from app stores, web client and relay domains could be blocked, but that wouldn’t block nostr or prevent you from finding a way to broadcast signed events.

And I suppose a client application would be fairly simple to create and distribute for computers even though they might be blocked on official phone app stores.
