I was thinking about this today. Starting your vacation after you work on Friday, it takes a few days to feel like you’re on vacation.
Start by taking Friday off, and it still takes a day or two to kick in.
Start by taking Thursday and Friday off, and it hits you pretty quickly.
This is all assuming a zero-amusement-park baseline, of course.
