This reminds me of my girlfriend hahaha she's so funny. I'll spend days and days pouring over Dr Thomas Sowell's "Knowledge and Decisions", a dense, long book, I'll re-read chapters, take breaks to write short essays of my own about ideas I find in there just to see if I can flesh out the principles involved and make sure I understand, I'll spend weeks on it.

Then my girlfriend will be making pancakes a few days after I finished the book, and she'll make a random, seemingly innocuous comment which like... Perfectly summarizes the entire book and gets accross all it's most important ideas in like a small concise and often sarcastic and hilarious like 2 sentence quip. She doesn't even notice hahaha goddamn it.

The Long form is good, the short and sweet is good, different strokes for different folks. I appreciate both approaches massively
