interesting story. so he properly followed a poorly written manual and it cost a very expensive plane. my guess is he had to do it over he would eject again, and that's precisely why they fired him. because he put his life over that of the plane and the plane is more expensive than he is.

the military doesn't need soldiers who are not ready to pay the ultimate price, nor ones who destroy multi-million-dollar equipment due to panicking.

i also would have ejected in his place and i also would have fired him as well.
