I think some people is not easy to find and also it can be a fake account. Will! Another issue: Have you tried to copy the pubkey from another social network and paste it here on the search tab? It doesn’t find the user, I have to delete the last letter and type it again and then the user is found. That’s weird.
What do you mean by can be a fake account? If it was listed on the profile damus can fetch the pubkey directly from the cash.app domain. I have nostr:jb55@jb55.com listed on my Twitter so that people can get my pubkey from my nip05. Not sure if that’s obvious to people that you type that nostr addresses in search to find pubkeys though.
Please Will, don't get me wrong, maybe I didn't write correctly, because my english is not very good (And actually I don't understand how nip05 works completely) but I think in nostr anyone can use jb55 as username, (that can be a fake account), that what I meant, unless the user check is the real pubkey or nip05 to know who is the real you. On the other side, the issue I posted occurs on Damus, I didn't check another nostr app.
Yep, typing just the NIP05 address makes it so much easier.
