Lot of empty and decaying houses because owners speculate to sell it to some good price somewhen in the future, stealing livings pace for the people.
Speculate on house prices is inefficient and has negative consequences for the people.

is that what is happening? I know some people who were speaking about moving to portugal, and i was wondering "where you getting the house" - but then this makes sense because demand is high in foreign lands.
We made a free walking tour. It's actually a mix of some topics.
Of course gentrification is a topic here. We stay in a hotel which could be a house for living instead. But on the other hand in brings money in the country.
But compared to other cities I have been it is very obvious that there are a lot of empty houses in the middle of the city center or famous places just because of speculation.
But to renovate those buildings is actually a tough topic and will cost you lot of money before you can use it for whatever reason.
