Damn, I’ve been on some Tinder dates. Some of them were really interesting people tbh 💜
I’ve met some interesting people. However Tinder in Los Angeles in the year of our Lord 2023 was wild man. Things being said to me made Pornhub look chaste.
I remember back when I first moved to PR in like 2016 hopped on Tinder it wasnt bad at the time even had stories was free unlimited. I wanted to meet new people moved far from home knew no one. There was a bot that would auto swipe right during a time of unlimited swipes. My ice breaker was hablas inglés? 😂😂 Good times good times 😂
Men and women use dating apps so differently. There is no way I would ever automatically swipe right on every profile.

Process of elimination for me but the reality was I was just trying find some English speakers because my Spanish was still not the greatest. It worked for me luckily but yea definitely different between men and woman. Probably a way more uncomfortable experience for the woman on the platform.....
It explains why women get inundated with matches. Being on an app is an overwhelming experience in my opinion. I don’t know that I’ve ever kept my profile on one active for more than a week and that’s a generous guesstimate.

I’ve told my married friends who haven’t had the joy of using some of these apps that they can operate on my behalf. We can have dinner and collective swiping.
Sounds like a fun activity. Couple of my married friends like to go on make a fake account to see what single friends of theirs are on there and what their profiles look like. To see why they are having no luck...

One of their guy friends had been single for 4 years and always said the same thing when they asked so they were curious and hopped on to see his profile and then found it fun to see the other people they knew on there. People do weird things youd be surprise. Nostr dating app probably becomes a thing one day. Do not think it would work currently because there might be a 100 to 1 guy to girl ratio on here right now 😂

I let my friends look at my profile. I ask for feedback. They know me best. Though some of my female friends who we were single together act like shell shock victims being reminded of the Somme. They can’t be reminded of the trenches.
When things were locked down in 2020, I started a Tinder profile and stated that I just missed random daily chats being stuck at home. Most fun I ever had on Tinder. Also think I made some married men really grateful to not be single. It was my community service.
