The numbers in NOSTR are not very relevant and it is very difficult to count them because the information is spread across numerous relays. Searching everything generates a considerable battery and internet cost for the user. And the information generated is of low importance. That is why many customers do not spend much processing on these numbers.

So Amethyst just spends more energy than other clients to accumulate these numbers?

I can't say. But there must certainly be more processing to find the numbers closest to the correct one. But they are certainly not 100% correct.
