Only if I had the capital to create purchasing power legitimately, like through selling or borrowing off of bitcoin, doing work, etc.

This is likely what will happen with the American government in the long run: they won't give up the money printer until they have so much bitcoin and so much genuine services to offer that they no longer feel it is profitable to usurp value from money.
