I met a young person who had a dumb phone which surprised me. The reasoning was that smartphone is too addictive.

My approach is to filter the bad stuff instead. It's better if one can muster the willpower.

how can you gauge the influence the narrative being presented to you is having on your worldview would be my question to that approach. unless you spend some time removing yourself from the noise to form a baseline. not that this matters, not a judgement in the slightest
