Nostr is a protocol.

Clients are how you interact with the protocol.

Nostr has polls because amethyst has polls.

You're choosing not to use them, through choice of client.

I know what a protocol is. But I’m not going to throw away my entire phone because one app has a feature I might use once every 6 months.

I already have one. I use it to test apps. It’s not my daily driver and will never be.

It’s not even where I am right now. I don’t carry it around with me all the time, and I don’t see the point of posting something that only a subset of people can interact with.
