Well noted, this needs an open discussion under the nostr repo, we will see what we can do about 🙏. Thanks for the feeback.

You can just do it as a feature and let the open discussion happen, nostr IS permissionless.

You can also add an option to save drafts on device instead of publishing to relays, this doesn't require any discussion

Totally agree, there is a draft NIP with encrypted drafts.

Are there implementations for it?

Amethyst uses them and I think Highlighter does too, not sure
