As many as their usecases. Their might be a radio communication layer specially for bitcoin, or maybe a shared address entity layer. Like: core function, money goes from a to b, and the other layers suggest could control aspects like ownership.
example: there is one address from an organisation, but it is controlled by a transparant open-source program that only does A if B. Like if the board members agree or whatever.
