well... this just won't work and it never does.

My take after watching and participating in all of this (computers) since the 1970s as a kid. Let's ignore the algorithm for now and consider censorship as part of 'people' in what I say.

Fundamentally there is not a systemic underlying problem with any social media.

They are databases more or less that sit there and do nothing until a *human* interacts. People harm one another online.

Keeping this in mind consider how far Occidental societies have fallen towards not taking personal responsibility. It's endemic even in slogan like phrases people roll off their tongues like "I was just...(insert enabling excuse)." Even worse is the willing delegation of truth to the state... yuck.

The problem with social media will never be solved until the root cause is.

The root cause is people and people's behaviour. We are all people are we not?
