& "block" doesn't work - this isn't exclusive to me. This is the reality of Nostr.

Maybe it's the client you're using? I mute/block bots all of the time and I don't see them after I do this. I sometimes see notes with comment counts of 2 or 3 but I don't see anything. I use Amethyst.
