Insurance is a scam.

My mom was rear ended last year and the insurance company deemed it a total loss. She got paid for the car 3 months later but she didn’t have access to a car during that period of time. She put in a “loss of use” claim to get paid for a rental car. The other party’s insurance company said they reached their limit and all they could offer her was $50. She was expecting a couple thousand because rentals aren’t cheap. She pushed back and the insurance company told her that they already did a thorough search on the other driver to see if they can go after any of their assets. Their search revealed that they had no assets to go after. So the insurance company is refusing to compensate beyond $50. What is the point of insurance if they can’t make you whole? And what is the point of insurance if they can still go after your assets? Keep that in mind when you buy KYC #bitcoin.

No. My mom’s insurance company tried to go after the other driver’s assets but when they saw they didn’t have anything they just let it go.

I doubt she’d win anything. These insurance companies have countless lawyers drafting their terms and they set limitations to protect themselves.

Welcome to the real world. Had something similar happen to me a year ago. Now I’m 100% covered after I switched the insurance company.

She had full coverage too lmao
