The theoretical frame work that I use for most of my research is human security based. That is, I examine events and phenomena that contribute to, or are operationalized to undermine human security(as opposed to 'state security). If the individuals within a state are insecure , then to what extent can we truly say the state is secure? I focus on already vulnerable groups in society. Rather than abstract theories , my work is grounded in quantitative methodologies
