There is a famous but often overlooked series called the Diskworld series (41 in total, every single one a gem) written by Terry Pratchett that I would highly recommend…
The author has a unique writing style that is light, positive, witty, and makes sure to include a lot of clever banter-style interactions… which is a nice break from the doom & gloom, heavy style that many fantasy authors can get trapped in
