money convos from friends and family often turn the relationships weird, unless you know for certain that you can repay them, i'd avoid it

also there's the ego of wanting to be self-reliant

If a friend asks for money , I will always be there if I can help.

in an important situation, I will always sell my sats for them

I think it also depends on the age group, being around Roya's age, the friends are most likely not in that secure of a position monetarily yet, as they haven't had enough time to store wealth
