We definitely want to engage. We have some team members who go to (and host!) bitdevs meetups to learn and engage with people working on bitcoin. We also want to engage directly about bitkey, and are thinking about a few different ways to accomplish that - open to suggestions on how you think is best as well. In the meantime, any thoughts you want to share with us directly?

People need to understand that to get mass adoption, these products can’t be overly technical or even miss out on functionality that less hardcore users want. I really hope you don’t stray too far based on feedback from a small group of highly technical people.
I agree. We didn’t set off with the intent to compete with what exists today. For certain people there are products that work well (coldcard is great). We decided to make bitkey for a different type of individual and get more of the world onto self custody.
It’s important to acknowledge to do so comes with certain trade offs. Yes, we need to weigh these trade offs and decide if each one is worth it; and through developing in the open and with input from the community we’re doing just that. But there isn’t a one size fits all and the more options out there for people to choose from the better it will be for bitcoin.
