Is there any place I can register a domain and pay in BTC without having a "verified account" with BitPay?
I stopped shopping at NewEgg for this reason and now I found that Gandi is doing this same thing.

Namecheap. Njalla I think.
Spaceship
Namecheap
Don't go namecheap as others have said. They did not accept an Alias I made while shopping for a domain and banned my account.
Right now I am using Dynadot and I am 99% sure that they accept Bitcoin without any issues. If you decide to go this way please use the referral code 9K8o6Q6Lte8g8F

Came here to say njalla.
Get Handshake and own your root domain on the pow chain.
We accept Bitcoin and Bitcoin Lightning and do not require any personal details.
Mynymbox, Namecheap, Porkbun

Yeah all good here - straight up BTC and Lightning payments accepted.
Sorry for delay, I was in Montreal for the Canadian Bitcoin Conference

MyNymBox, Njal.la, NiceVPS, Porkbun, OrangeWebsite, IncogNet and NameCheap all don't support the .coop TLD. ☹️ Looks like there's nobody that I can pay directly with BTC that also can handle a .coop registration.
If we want bitcoin to be a viable option for "the people", this is a gap that needs to be filled.
Domain names are a pillar of self-sovereignty, and even if you prefer corporations as a legal structure, I think we can pretty much all agree cooperatives should be included.
If nostr:npub1y69efz664d96krj5xrhync707ythdncc8hunkvs4n7t8pm25zj2snkwae6 is willing to pick this up, I vow to do my best to get the cooperative that I am a part of to move to you. If that goes well, I'll also try getting a few other groups I'm a part of to move over along with a couple personal domains. I'd be happy to have all the domains I help manage be under one roof and with a privacy-respecting company like yourself.
