☕ GM, #Nostr Coffee Lovers!

#Coffee prices are skyrocketing in early 2025, hitting $3.84 per pound—the highest ever! Supply struggles in Brazil and Vietnam are fueling the surge, while coffee chains scramble to adapt.

But it’s not all bad news! The specialty coffee market is booming, with U.S. sales at $47.8B and global brands expanding fast. Meanwhile, the biggest coffee event of the year kicks off in Dubai next week!

How will this affect your morning cup? Will you pay more—or drink less?

I used to drink 4+ coffees a day but just about 3 months ago I decided to switch to single coffee before noon. I spend more time preparing it and enjoy it more.

I think I can handle even 400% surge in price. 🫡

Nice Dshf!

Yes I've been inroduced to special coffees lately. Indeed it does take some time. But definitely worth it! Which techniques and brews do you use?

GM only drinking coffee ~ 4 times a month and only at home

Perfect balance imo

Yeah I really like the fact that I can thoroughly enjoy a cup once in a while but it still doesn't faze me if I don't have any coffee for months

5 years caffeine free. I see Kakao is also surging in costs

Respect. Well done. Yes it is. Everything is.

I was looking at the commodity markets last year and noticed that coffee beans prices were ripping. I advised our CFO that it might be a good idea to stock up a few bags before this hit the market to save some cash in the future. You can guess their response. Now they can enjoy the higher prices of both coffee and bitcoin (yes, I was telling them that Bitcoin will rip too back in 2022). The CEO came to me few weeks ago and asked me what the hell was going on with Bitcoin. I just told him “I told you so” and walked past him. 😂

Buenos días

Ugh I have to pay for it, it's my vice 😂

Thanks for the information 👌

Both, I must have my coffee, I have a local roaster who doesn't burn the beans to make it tast like Starbucks, So I pay the extra.

...I probably should have mentioned the roasters name, "Combat Coffee in Waynesville Missouri, just a deer's whisker outside Fort Leonard Wood army base.
