The idea that you need to "get users for Nostr" is a retarded leftover from the dark Twitter past, before people realized that they could just build or rebuild useful stuff with it.

Boring stuff, like your church website or the web page for your favorite restaurant or that aging test tool at your software company.

we need to stop using nostr where it doesn't refer to a protocol.

nobody cares about ISO OSI, tcp/ip etc.

everybody use internet

There's this aging test data generator based upon spreadsheets and bash scripts and XML files, at my work, and I'm rewriting it and it's like...

Yo, hear me out:

don't know what most of this means

but i love JSON Derulo

That could be fun... You suruptitiously (I can't spell right now, I'm so fried) get your company on the nostr protocol...

The Nostr protocol is actually as exciting as watching paint dry, but I could use it to build something dozens of people use professionally, every day. Solve an actual problem with it and build something cutting-edge, that saves my company money.

Yes! I love it. It's clay. Shape it, bake it, even glaze it to make it pretty.

Infrastructure should be boring until you do cool stuff with it reliably.

Yeah, except that it's really dull and not at all suriptitious because nobody cares.

We get all hyped up on here, but it's like a web page and some json events. 😂

and then you find out what edn and homoiconicty is ...

Like Lisp and Prolog or...?

oh yeah

source code as a data structre.

you never understand until you rewrite your program by manipulating it's source code just by changing a db records.

Yes, that look you get from an engineer who has worked for any amount of time with EDN when you pass them the pile of YAML needed to run whatever…

“aging” seems a touch generous 🤣
