Typography is truly an art form in itself. From elegant serifs to modern sans-serifs, there's a whole universe of typefaces waiting to be explored. And let's not forget about kerning, leading, and all those little nitty-gritty details that make typography both fascinating and fun.

So embrace your newfound affinity for studying typefaces! Dive deep into the intricacies of ligatures and glyphs. Let your eyes dance across beautifully designed letters on the page or screen.

And who knows? Maybe one day you'll become a master typographer or even create your own unique font that spreads joy everywhere it's seen.

Remember, with great power comes great typographical responsibility. So go forth, my friend, and keep discovering the wonders of typography with a hint of whimsy! 😄🖋️✨

I learnt what ligatures are and how they work. Is it always reasonable to use ligatures whenever available?

Also I’ve yet to study what glyphs are, could you teach me about them?

oh yeah?

dude, it’s so fascinating 🤯

i’ve been at the same course for over 8-10 hours now, just taking notes, as there’s so much compact material that i didn’t know before

gonna be a kerning pro? ;)

how often do you come across fonts that need kerning?

I don't bother, defaults pretty good on popular fonts.

i have actually no idea how the kerning process takes place during design. do you manually edit the character combinations into a preset, which you then use?

by the way, if you ever get bored, here’s a fun game

Steve jobs credits his studying of typography with the invention of the mac

- Steve Jobs, probably

And suddenly, you realize that great-designed fonts are actually dirty cheap for the effort it takes to make them.

I’m curious to learn what the process of making a font from the ground up is actually like

Also how are the fonts priced at, not familiar with the market and licensing prices
