A good article. There are a lot of words and concepts I don't really understand but will be making an effort to because I see the wisdom in this understanding.

My head nearly exploded when the author wrote, "In my delusional thinking, I believed that to need help was to be weak and to be weak was to be unlovable." YUP THAT'S ME, or at least the "me" that was inculcated.

....Might be why the Gowron persona was so appealing........
