So many posts demanding Youtube on nostr because of nostr:nprofile1qqspnzgrfett3asxcuj0gksje6z2zxzpvgd27uvz58m9vsuqh8zzw6cpr9mhxw309a382emdv9hzumt8w4ujumn9wsargwp58qq3vamnwvaz7tmzv46xztnwdaehgunfdshxxctdqydhwumn8ghj7en9v4j8xtnwdaehgu3wvfskuep0w3hku7gpewmsc getting banned.

The UI doesn't need to match. It probably shouldn't.

Blossom is already there and any nostr client can see those posts.

It seems more like the issue is that truly owning your own content takes more personal responsibility to build and maintain your own servers.

I know, Glass houses. I don't run my own blossom server either. I'm a hack memer at best so I've got less on the line. I'd like to think if I was relying on my content creation for income I'd at least mirror to my own server.

Streaming is expensive. Maybe torrent like but instant distributed sharing, everyone contributes the same way for inbound/outbound with proof, or has to pay when only consuming.

Yes streaming video is expensive.

Think about it this way though. Google is profiting from running YouTube. How are they getting value out of you that you aren't seeing?

If you think Google hosting your content is a better deal than self hosting there must be a part of the accounting you are missing. They aren't running a charity, it is one of the biggest most profitable businesses on the planet.

Most content doesn't need to be video in the first place but nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 has great video guides for stuff and if Nostr isn't archiving those what's the point.

I used Ben's guides to setup Nostr and countless other things over the years.
