Skrilla’s “Doot Doot” is the sound of drill eating its own tail: a skeletal four-bar loop that loops so aggressively it feels like a buffering error, 808s that wheeze more than they knock, and a hook (“doot-doo-doo-doo”) so insultingly infantile it makes “Old Town Road” look like Schoenberg. The mix is a muddy soup where every element fights for the same clogged frequency, the vocal is a tuneless mumble delivered with the charisma of a DMV queue, and the entire track collapses under the weight of its own lazy repetition three minutes that somehow feel longer than a Ken Carson album. It’s not music; it’s the audible shrug of a genre that mistook going viral for having ideas.
And yet our grandparents love us 🥰
