Regex-enabled full text search of all notes within my social graph. Filters based on graph distance, time, specific npubs, minimum engagement, etc.
AI search which preprocesses notes for searchable keywords, sentiments, etc.
Cypher.space but I might be biased 😂
I think search inside twitter works well. Saved recent searches (toggled of/on maybe).
Filter by people you follow. Order by latest.
Navigate to a profile and search within there, like on twitter too.
Nostrband has got some good search options like this. But inside a client would be most useful.
Autofill on hashtag seaching.
And in the case of Nostr it might be a good idea to also show the -str suffixes on them.
Eg if a new person searches the hashtag films, it should also show/suggest filmstr.

Does your answer change if you could build a search app from the ground up?
I would still want these features. But I'm sure there's lots of clever features I can't even think of
Also.... Searching for an npub on nostr and having no idea which is the real one Vs all the impersonators. A very nostr problem. Just looked up wavlake for example and found it so hard to find the right one to tag. (It's easier when you are following them tho, on amethyst at least you have a wee symbol on the avatar).
- Autosuggestion for keywords and npubs
- Basic filters in the view (x/y/z dates ago + custom; trust score; "exclude" opening up a type in)
- use the google search syntax (use "OR" by default unless the user specifies differently)
- Sorted by relevance as a default - enable filter to choose the algo
- add button for LLM to "summarize the results"
