Ladies, get a gun (if you can).

I’ve gotten death threats, rape threats, etc and they don’t tend to bother me because I have guns and practice working with them often.

When you KNOW you can protect yourself you don’t have to fear when folks online threaten you. People are ignorant and given the opportunity they will showcase it. It should be expected, especially if you’re beautiful and confident enough to show yourself and/or your vulnerabilities.

Owning a gun and training with it has grounded me in reality and makes it easier to choose what is offensive and what should be ignored. It created a mental strength that I didn’t know I had until I bought my .38 (my purse pistol).

It’s your right as an American… get a gun. If you can’t get a gun, get a taser and practice with that.

I live in Canada and I’m a male so can’t really get a gun (besides a hunting rifle) and even that is hard to obtain here but I always carry a large pocket knife on me.

Never know what crazy you’ll run into in the city I’ve seen some stuff especially taking public transit daily.

Exactly! You have to be proactive and not reactive. We don’t live in a safe world at all.

If you can't get a gun, get some self defense training. It can help foster the same mindset and confidence that carrying a firearm would.

A lot of the attacker/victim relationship can be boiled down to very instinctive and primal behavior. Predators naturally seek prey. Don't look like easy prey. That confidence you get from carrying a gun? That's outwardly perceivable to would be attackers. Being alert and aware of your surroundings, making eye contact, and how you carry yourself are all analyzed by the primitive parts of our brain and subconsciously feed to the executive function.

All that being said, stay strapped or get clapped.

Facts … but I was actually speaking to virtual victimhood. Owning a gun IRL trains you to assess situations quickly and rationally. That helps in discerning what’s actually a threat and what should be ignored.

These skills come in handy online especially when you’re coming from a place where you feel attacked in a non physical way across multiple realms. Not to mention, being completely unequipped to communicate this.

If you KNOW for lack of a better phrase: ain’t no fucking way… then thats what it is. The threat becomes a joke. But if you’re in a place where the

Virtual words are a feared reality then you need to take control because that’s an uncomfortable spot to be in.

It creates ripples that turn into unmanageable waves. Whether it’s blocking, self defense training, or firearms training you need to examine what’s real and live in that.

You can use a fire arm to hunt your own food, protect your property, protect your family and ammunition is a commodity. As a woman, that knowledge is invaluable… so I made my post.
