Today I explained what big and small government is to my 4-year old daughter. I tried to articulate a basic and unbiased definition. At the end, I asked her which one she liked and she said: “I like the small government because big government makes me scary.”

How did I define small government?

“Citizens don’t give up as much power to the government and so the government manages less things and provides less services.”
