**not hating on bitcoin just curious ****

Is there anything less then a sat? My only concern is, if there is not anything less then a sat what would we do if the value of 1 sat for example is a house? Does that mean we can not use bitcoin to buy anything of lesser value? Or will we have to buy a year's worth of something at 1 time? Or will we still need other forms of currency to suplitment bitcoin?

in a bitcoin only economy 1 sat will be the price of a small thing like one small gum or something, just like today 1 cent buys you very little.

we will probably have things that are less than a sat a unit but you will have a minimum ammount of it that you buy.

I only asked because there is a fixed amount of bitcoin ever and that helps with the problem that traditional currency have. I'm glad we could have the conversation 🙂

So 1 sat is the smallest for the block chain but on the lightning network you can do smaller transactions but when realizing the transactions to the bitcoin block chain everything has to equal 1 sat? Meaning that if you do 1/4 sats transactions you would need to make sure you do 4 similar transactions so that way the 1 sat is a counted for ?

If you never leave lightning you can use mili sats, for the block chain in the future if it is necessary I think can make an update and add milisats. I don’t remember exactly, I read in internet but I don’t remember the sat on the channel close go to one side.

Yeah I was reading that later down the road a bitcoin improvement proposal could be suggesting to add more decimal points.
