I've been to manhatten several times, and always stayed in a rather posh location off central park, so it's as good as it possibly could be, but whenever I see it I still can only imagine how beautiful it must have been before they built all that shit there.

Yea, my entire life I have seen cities the way they ended up in shit like 'The Planet of the Apes" etc. "God forsaken post industrial future ruins' sums it up exquisitely.
