So one of the reasons my head is kind of big and I'm not a huge fan of all of the lemmings following around the #web3 trend is because I was responsible for pioneering the early web (2.0) from a static environment into an application like environment. Web 2.0 was the introduction of applications to a web that was static.

The rush to rebrand the web to web3 was an underhanded effort by the crypto community who needed to rebrand their marketing efforts because of how shady crypto marketing tactics were but in the process of rebranding their efforts they took the focus away from the importance of things like use cases, scenario development and web application performance.

Don't be fooled, #web3 is not filled with people who understand or care about the craft of web application development. It's filled with people who want the DOJ to be able to tell Apple that logging into a service should start with your wallet so they can steal from you instead of Signing in privately using your Apple ID so you can keep your consumer protection.
