I’m still not fully comfortable with ecash, and it seems like using a custodial LSP is maybe better considering all the risk tradeoffs.
Can anyone point me to something that will explain why that’s wrong?

What risk does e-cash have that custodial LSPs don't?
E-cash mints are custodial LSPs with more privacy.

Ecash provides better privacy and is easier to exchange than using lightning. Great for a small spending wallet IMO. I keep about 10k sats max in my cashu wallet.
