I hear that about the jurisdiction thing. If you find the "perfect" one let me know lol (I don't think there is though). IMO there is always remedy in any jurisdiction if we own our power and live in honor.

When deciding where, we just have to make the best decision possible and grow where we've planted ourselves.

For me that was Texas, but I always keep my eye on central America as a backup since I loved living down there in my 20's.
