Probably a really dumb question but does the node require a fast internet connection and if so what is your typical traffic rate?
Looks like my node will be closing out this year nicely. Thanks to all that have helped me and inspired me! Any of you comment on this post I got zaps for you!

Ideally you want an unmetered broadband connection, especially for the initial blockchain download, which is over 600 GB and may take you several days depending on your hardware and network speed. I checked my router stats and my node has downloaded about 40 GB in data and uploaded 4 GB over the past week.
Bandwidth and only need speed in initial download of bitcoin core
The reason why I ask is because I run my network on LTE out in BFE. I was looking at getting a hobby miner down the road aside from my BTC node.
Uhh hobby miner wise its pretty easy to set up. Just if go beyond into bigger asic miners you need proper power. LTE is fine as long as they give you alot of data. Lightning node uses alot of data if routing alot.
That was what I was thinking. I was also thinking from a total noobs perspective is that if mining becomes less profitable maybe running a lightning node could hedge that?
