I’ve tried onboarding some friends and family to Nostr, but let’s just say the interest isn’t there. I explained the decentralized aspect, what zaps are, and how they’re essentially satoshis—smaller units of Bitcoin. Still, nothing.

It’s a similar experience to what I’ve seen with #Bitcoin, general investing, and financial literacy.

Funny enough, as a kid, my mom used to call me a miser (penny pincher). I guess I was always content with what I had.

Now, as an adult, I’ve learned to channel excess energy and capital into investments. Let’s just say, the rest came naturally and is now history.

Final thought:

If you’re here, kudos. Now, hold the frontline.

I haven't had social media accounts for years, nostr makes me feel good about having something similar again

I hear you there! I wasnt fond of social media, but Nostr is different. I really like the decentralized aspect and zap functionality. It's a great market fit for those that value their privacy and want to have ownership of their content. That's been my biggest hurdle for content creation, but now there isnt much of an excuse now haha.
