Pro tip:
You can use your table saw to cut out specific shapes, not just cuts.
1️⃣ Mark the shape in pencil on the wood you are cutting.
2️⃣ Adjust the distance from fence and the height of the blade to gradually nibble away the shape.
3️⃣ Take gradual cuts of about 1/8” inch at a time, adjusting the distance and height for every cut.
4️⃣ When done, you clean up the cuts with a file or sandpaper.
This method works on making a birdmouth, like I did, or you can make complex custom molding with enough patience.
PS: I used this method because I needed very clean and straight bird mouths for my project.
I could have used a jigsaw, however, a jigsaw blade will flex and you will get a crooked cut.
Cheers!
