If I share a NOSTR post with someone who has never heard of NOSTR, what is their User Experience?
Can they view the note without making keys?

Njump.me
I'm not trying to educate them about Nostr, I just want to share a post
I use njump.me as matter of face on amethyst when you click the share button it creates an njump link
idk what you mean by this
This is amethyst client it has a share button built in and creates an njump link you can share anywhere else on the net. Hope this helps.

oh hell yeah amethyst. crushing.
You're reminding me why it's important to go check out other clients every once in awhile.
I used amethyst for a long time and now have been on Primal for a bit
thanks!!
I should’ve posted an example like Michael did. You can share anything by adding “njump.me/“ in front of a npub, note id, etc.
sooo
njump.me/primal.net/e/note1au62kzsfkq8te436xnxywprempa0adx2m76qj4wrj8t4rt4cevvsxxg9kn
Primal does the weird thing with links. If I open that in a browser I get 404 error, but if I grab the note ID from Lyn’s post to use I get this:
For my own posts, I use npub.pro
trying to share a Lyn post about eth to my friend who is dumb money
Depends what you send. A link or note id.
Most clients don't need login to view notes. So you can choose almost any client and send the link.
I'd send this. would it be viewable?

Yeah it should, but currently doesn't seem to wanna load on mobile 😅
Try this one:
Sharing over njump.me and sometime shortening the link with nosl.ink
