If it's published on the web (someone's website), there is an assumption that it will exist there forever.

No longer.

We're all familiar with the 404 error, but it's going to get a lot more common as we are seeing the wholesale removal or resources.

#nostr relays can solve this problem to some degree. We need to look at this more closely.

It's the fringe industries that are often the most innovative. They have the most to lose.

For web, there are web.archive.org and archive.today (including numerous other domains). What about nostr? I think most relays do not store content indefinitely either.
