What makes it stupid to sign it and share it?

Per my understanding keys can be destroyed. Which means there are infinite anonymous pairs of keys available to anyone.

You are correct. Signing it doesn't stop bad actors.
Keys can be used only once. But you use a key to sign a message and send that message to a bunch of relays.
One or all of these relays could be logging metadata like your ip address.
As Obama said “metadata kills”. It would be stupid to assume you’re anonymous to any motivated police investigation on #nostr
