If I were looking critically at that image, I’d say it’s just as likely that the river in the foreground is straighter and the horizon is curved, given that if you manipulated the photo to hide the curve of the earth, it would move the left and right parts of the river upward.

Or, you’d hide the manipulation in the hazy area between foreground and horizon.
